Not much explanation needed.
You’ve got your crusty sourdough bread.
Your crispy thick-cut smokey bacon.
Your shiny red ripe tomatoes.
And your crunchy iceberg lettuce.
Simple. Honest. Delicious.
The trick to such a simple sandwich is to ensure each ingredient selected is absolutely delicious on its own, then put them all together and whammo! You’ve got yourself and lovely little lunch.
I like to add a little pesto to the mayo to give it a little extra flavour explosion. It’s easy – just add 1 part pesto to 3 parts mayo.
In the summer, I will make this again, except from components all grown in my own backyard, and the bread home-baked. Mmmm…mi gusta…
