River basks in the morning sun. He is always slow to get going, unlike most dogs. He has to be cajoled and poked to get out of bed, after which he makes his way to the couch for his early morning nap.

    Sounds exactly like my dog, who, in fact, is currently in the middle of his after breakfast nap!
